Jane Davis

Jane Ann Davis age 68 of St. Louis, Michigan died Monday, November 6, 2006 at Gratiot Medical Center Alma, MI.

Memorial Services will be held at St. Louis First United Methodist Church, on November 10, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Lillian French will officiate with visitation on Thursday, November 9, 2006 at 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.

Jane was born in Oak Hill, Ohio on May 31, 1938 the daughter of Cecil and Dora Ruth. She resided most of her life in Ohio until moving to St. Louis in 1986. She graduated from Oak Hill High School with the class of 1956. Jane married David Davis on December 27, 1957 in Richmond, Indiana. She was a homemaker who did a wonderful job raising her 5 children. She also operated a laundromat/dry cleaning business in Oak Hill, Ohio, and a turkey farm in Wellston, Ohio. She loved flower gardening, and her grandchildren. She was also a very talented musician. Jane was a member of St. Louis First United Methodist Church and an OES Past Worthy Matron in Oak Hill, Ohio.

She is survived by her husband David Davis of St. Louis, MI, 4 children Darius & Veronica Davis of St. Louis, MI, Susan & Ira Allen of Seal Beach, CA, Damon & Dawn Davis of Sheperd, MI, Sally & Michael Case of Greenville, MI, 6 grandchildren; Rebeccah, Danny, Troy, JoJo, Caleb, and Grace, 1 brother Dwight Ruth of Oak Hill, OH, and 1 sister-in-law Ruth Ruth of Jackson, OH. She is predeceased by her parents, a son Daniel Mark in 1979 and a brother Ken Ruth.

Memorials may be made to St. Louis First United Methodist Church or the American Lung Association. The family is beings served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
