Janet Elaine Blazo age 60 of Oakley, Michigan died Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Memorial Healthcare Center, Owosso, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI on Monday, February 4, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Katherine Paul will officiate with burial at St. Michaels Cemetery Oakley, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 3, 2008 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
Janet was born in Saginaw, Michigan on January 1, 1948 the daughter of Harold J. and Helen A. ( Zimmerman ) Wilson. She resided most of her life in the Oakley area and graduated from Chesaning Union School with the class of 1967. Janet married Donald Blazo on September 21, 1967 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Oakley, Michigan. Janet enjoyed going to the jamborees that Don played at. She loved to go shopping at Wal-mart, and she enjoyed going to concerts and listening to country music. Janet loved spending time with her family, and being the oldest she always looked after her siblings. She always put the family reunions together. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and her door was always open for the neighborhood kids. Janet was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Oakley, Michigan a Memorial Healthcare Hospice Volunteer and a member of the Corunna Kickers.
She is survived by her husband Donald Blazo of Oakley, MI, 3 children; Michael & Tora Wilson of Ft. Stewart, GA, Michelle Moffit of Chesaning, MI, Jeff & Sandy Lopez of Fowlerville, MI, grandchildren; Cassandra, Michael, & Hunter Wilson, Danny, David, Adam, Matt, and Sara Moffitt, Tyler Lopez, 1 brother Larry & Karla Wilson of Oakley, 5 sisters; Nancy & Dick Wilson of Arkansas, Debbie Hunt of Tennessee, Wendy & Willie Wilson of Jacksonville, FL, Lori Hodges of Missouri, Becky & Cliff Dunec of Standish, MI, and several nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, 1 granddaughter Elizabeth Canfield, 1 brother Daniel Wilson, and 3 sisters; Barbara Wilson, Carol Moore, and Jean Ann Beiers.
