Janet MacFarland

Janet Louise MacFarland, age 75, of Elwell, MI, formerly of Elsie, MI, passed away Friday, March 5, 2021, at Samaritas Senior Living of Saginaw.

Janet's wishes were to be cremated with a family graveside service at Mount Calvary Cemetery, NJ, where she will be buried with her family at a later date.

Janet was born in Engelwood, New Jersey on December 20, 1945, the daughter Jacob and Margaret (Reynolds) MacFarland. She attended school in Asbury Park, New Jersey and later graduated from Ovid-Elsie High School in 1987. Janet worked for Lear Industries for nearly 30 years, retiring in 2005.

Janet loved shopping for her family. She enjoyed doing crafts and making blankets. Janet was a member of the Red Hatters Society and always looked forward to time with her friends. She was a very giving person and was ready to help whenever someone was in need. Most of all, Janet loved spending time with her family.

Janet is survived by 4 children: Patricia (Shad) Parks of Elwell, Robert (Tracy) Ordway Jr. of Ithaca, Randy (Tracie) Ordway of Shelbyville, KY, and Roger Ordway of Elwell. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 4 siblings: Doug (Sarah) McFarland, Donald (Libby) McFarland, Larry (Kathy) McFarland, and Peggy Alexander.    Janet was preceded in death by her parents, one brother David MacFarland, and brother-in-law Jerry Alexander.
