Janey Lee Smith

     Janey Lee Smith, age 48, of Lansing, MI, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, MI.

     A cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at a later date.

     Janey was born in Saginaw, MI on February 12, 1973, the daughter of Theodore Powell and Jennifer Laingmaid.  Janey was raised in Caro and lived her adult life in Lansing.

   She is survived by two sons: Theo Smith and Thomas Smith of Ovid, MI; mother Jennifer (Lee) Smith of Caro, MI;  father Theodore Powell; and the father of her sons Roger Smith of Ovid, MI; grandson Lucas Smith; six siblings: John Pugh, Deanna Hughes, Barbie Acord, Cindy Smith, Angela Steele, and Ron Powell; and many nieces and nephews.  Janey was preceded in death by nephew Stevie Hughes and father Roger Pugh.
