Jason Bongard

Jason Lee Bongard, age 64, of Perrinton, Michigan died Monday, February 20, 2012 at Gratiot Medical Center, Alma, Michigan.

A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca Chapel Ithaca, MI on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Jerry Drummond and Pastor Clare Huyck officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, 2012 from 2-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Jason was born in Alma, Michigan on April 3, 1947, the son of Clyde and Ruth (Berryo) Bongard. He graduated from Fulton High School with the class of 1965 and attended Western University until he was drafted into US Army. On August 15, 1970 Jason and Nancy McKinney were married at the Ithaca Presbyterian Church.

Jason worked for Wilson-Deming Home Improvement Company for many years; he then worked for Menard's in Lansing retiring from there. He enjoyed golfing and gardening and feeding birds at his home. He also enjoyed cooking and was a wonderful cook. He was a member of the Fields Golf Course in Ithaca.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Bongard of Perrinton, Michigan, daughter Melissa and Tim Foland of Ashley, Michigan, and 7 brothers. He was predeceased by his parents.
