Jean Bigelow

Jean Marie Bigelow age 53, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017, at Mid Michigan Medical Center-Midland, Midland, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis, MI, on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Terri Bentley officiating.    Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Internment will be held at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Breckenridge, MI at a later date.

Jean was born in Mt. Pleasant, MI on February 22, 1964, the daughter of James and Judy (Stowell) Ball.  She graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1982.  Jean married David Bigelow on August 3, 2002 in Breckenridge, MI.  David preceded her in death in 2013.

Jean loved life!  She enjoyed feeding her family and friends and all of the cooking and baking that involved.  She loved camping so much she would camp in her backyard.  But most of all Jean loved her family dearly.  Her happiest moments were spent with her family.

Jean is survived by her mother Judy of St. Louis, sons; David (Ladette) Smith of St. Louis, Brian (Tiffany Emahiser) Smith of Toledo, OH, Kevin of Mt. Pleasant, stepsons; Josh Bigelow of Mt. Pleasant, Jeremy Bigelow of Breckenridge, stepdaughters; Justine (Jared) Ruszkowski of Breckenridge, Stephanie Fidler of Swartz Creek, and 8 grandchildren; Phoenix, Easton, Michael, Matthew, Maya, Cody, Tyler and Mackenzie.  She is also survived by her siblings; Jodie (Mark) Diaz, Jill (Kent Jr.) House, Janice (Tim) Wernick, Jacqui (Albert) Zainea, and Jimmy (Beth Rinaldi) Ball, and special friend Tim Phillips.  Jean was preceded in death by her father and husband David.
