Jean Charters

Jean Ann Charters, age 74, of Owosso, MI passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012 at her home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church Owosso, MI on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Fr. Michael O'Brien will officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 17, 2012 from 2-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Jean was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin on February 6, 1937, the daughter of Faustin B. and Betty (Whitcomb) Gilling. Jean settled in Owosso in 1957. Jean married Harold (Frank) Charters on June 30, 1956 in Bay City, MI. Frank passed away on April 24, 1990.

Jean enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her family. She liked doing crafts and especially liked vacationing with her family. Jean was employed by Robbins Furniture Company for many years and had worked at Sobak's Pharmacy & Hardee's. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church Owosso, MI.

She is survived by her daughter Cheryl Charters of Owosso, MI, son Chris and Debra Charters of Owosso, MI, daughter Margie Charters of Owosso, MI, son Paul and Sherri Charters of Perry, MI, daughter Michelle and David Frederick of Owosso, MI, grandchildren; Chris Charters, Collin Frederick, Nicholas Frederick, Matthew Moffit, Adrienne Charters, Jennifer Patsy and April Charters, great grandchildren; Austin Hoose and Addilynn Charters, sister Marie and Tom Alman of Lansing, MI, 2 nieces; Cindy & Amy, and dear friends; Bonnie and Bill Scheffler and Sandy and Paul Dural. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 infant sons, an infant daughter and a granddaughter Ashley Moffit.
