Jeanne Gehringer

Jeanne M. Gehringer, age 70, of Elsie, MI passed away Monday, February 3, 2014 at Hospice House of Shiawassee County.

Funeral Services will be held at Elsie United Methodist Church Elsie, MI on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 1:00 P.M., with Dr. Donald Ferris-McCann officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 from 4-7 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, MI.

Jeanne was born in Howell, MI on December 3, 1943, the daughter of Howard Arthur and Ruth Virena (Moore) Metcalf. Jeanne married Thomas Leo Gehringer on December 24, 1961; he passed away on October 18, 2011. Jeanne was a member of Elsie United Methodist Church, Elsie, MI. She liked gardening, quilting and baking.

She is survived by 4 children; Tom C. Gehringer of Durand, MI, Pat Gehringer of Elsie, MI, Katharine and Ken Hehrer of Ovid, MI, and Joanne and Dominic Willett of Grand Rapids, MI, 8 grandchildren; Adam, Makenna, Brandon, Meghan, Sarah, Brooklyn, Dempsey and Ronin and sister Connie and Ron Hoag of Williamston, MI. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and an infant daughter.
