Jeannette Efaw

Jeannette E. Efaw, age 93, of St. Louis, MI passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at her daughters home.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Louis Church of Christ, St. Louis, MI on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 1:00 P.M., with Mr. Keith Wise officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, MI. Visitation will be held on Saturday prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at the church.

Jeannette was born in St. Louis, Michigan on July 15, 1921, the daughter of Paul Clifton and Esther L. (Basinger) Eldredge. She graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1939.

On April 13, 1941 she married Charles L. Efaw in St. Louis, Michigan; Charles predeceased her on October 21, 1966. She was a dental assistant and office manager for Dr. Fenwick's Dental Office in St. Louis. Her greatest accomplishment in life was raising her 5 children. Jeannette was a member of the St. Louis Church of Christ where she was actively involved and taught Sunday school.

Jeannette is survived by 2 daughters; Susan and Charles Shurkey of Williamston, MI, Janice Efaw and Steve Cooper of New Jersey, 3 sons; Roderick "Rick" and Donna Efaw of Alma, MI, Thomas "Tom" Efaw of St. Louis, MI, William "Dur" and Linda Efaw of East Lansing, MI, 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Charles, 2 sisters; Clela Shaw, Barbara Rhoades, and 1 brother Paul "Bud" Eldredge.
