Jennie Elizabeth Loznak age 90, of Elsie, MI, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the Masonic Pathways, Alma, MI.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the Elsie United Methodist Church, Elsie, MI.
Jennie was born in North Star, MI on January 24, 1927, the daughter of William and Leila (Hull) Wilson. Shortly after high school graduation (Elsie High School - Class of 1945) and with the country in the depths of WWII Jennie traveled to Yuma, AZ to marry high school sweetheart Army Air Force Cadet Stanley Robert Loznak. They were married on June 23, 1945 and the two resided all their life in the Elsie area. He passed away in 1971.
Jennie was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star Lodge #133 and the Elsie United Methodist Church. She was very instrumental in the development and promotion of numerous local and regional organizations and clubs such as the Elsie Women's Literary Club and the Clinton County Women's Republican Party. Jennie, for many years, provided significant support to her husband’s real estate business.
An intelligent, multi-talented individual, with unique creativity and an exceptional style, Jennie will also be remembered for her many community involvements and activities. She was always quick to extend help to and embrace the needs of her friends and family. Jennie had a passion for reading and engrossed herself in any book you put in front of her, especially historical books about America’s history and leaders. Her extensive knowledge and recall of local facts and stories will be missed.
Jennie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Stanley (1971), and siblings; Stella (Wilson) Purdue, June (Wilson) Cross, and Robert Wilson Jr. She is survived by daughter Pamela (Loznak) Martin of Akron, OH and foster son Thomas (Tonia) Ebert of Inman, SC; granddaughters Alexandra Jennie Watters of Portland, OR and Ashley Ebert of Atlanta, GA; grandsons Eric Stanley Nussbaum of Chicago, IL and Thomas Ebert II of Inman, SC; brother Douglas (Madeline) Wilson; sisters-in-law; Betty (Kristin) Wilson, Dorothy (Loznak) Signs; brothers-in-law; Edward (Doris) Loznak, and John Loznak.
