Jennie V Vozar age 82 of Ithaca, MI died Sunday, September 28, 2008 at Sparrow Health Systems Sparrow Campus , Lansing, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Ithaca Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 1:00 PM. Rev. Mary Anne Evans-Justin will officiate with burial at Ithaca Cemetery Ithaca, MI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel.

Jennie was born in South Riley Twp., Michigan on November 8, 1925, the daughter of Ray H. and Laura Mae (Sighns) Searles. Jennie married Andrew Vozar on February 22, 1944 in St. Louis, MI. He died on July 16, 2004. Jennie was a lifelong resident of Ithaca. She was a life member of the DAV, past Cub Scout Leader, active in the Ithaca Senior Center, and served as Deputy Clerk Treasurer for the City of Ithaca for 32 years. She was a member of the Ithaca Presbyterian Church, where she was also very active. Jennie also made hundreds of wedding, graduation, and anniversary cakes.

She is survived by a son Richard and Barbara Vozar of Vestaburg, MI, a daughter Carol and Sam Miller of St. Louis, MI, 3 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and sister Sharlene Hill of Wallingford, CT. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 5 brothers, and 2 sisters.
