Jenny Cavender

Jenny Marie Cavender, age 39, of Bryant Arkansas formerly of Elsie, MI died Monday, January 23, 2012 in Arkansas.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, MI, on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 1:00 P.M., with Pastor Tim Dickenson officiating. Interment will follow at Fairfield Township Cemetery, Fairfield Township, MI. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 27, 2012 from 4-8 P.M. and on Saturday from 11 am until time of service at the funeral home. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Park Place Baptist Church at 22208 I-30 Bryant, Arkansas.

Jenny was born in Owosso, Michigan on September 14, 1972, the daughter of Johnny Russell and Dorothy Marie (Langhals) Reathford. She graduated from Ovid Elsie High School with the class of 1990 and attended Lansing Community College for her nursing degree and Davenport College with a business degree.

Jenny was a nurse and QA Coordinator for Saline Memorial Hospice and Home Health. She enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, camping and boating. She resided most of her life in the Elsie area moving to Arkansas in 2002.

She is survived by her children; Jaclyn Marie Dukes of Lansing, MI, Sara Lyn Bailey of Arkansas, Cash McRae Cavender of Arkansas, mother Dorothy Reathford of Elsie, MI, sister Jill and Aymour Shannon of Kingsley, MI, several aunts, uncles and cousins in Michigan and Alabama. She was predeceased by her father Johnny, 2 sisters; Jackie & Jeannie, and her grandparents.
