Jeremy Ward
Jeremy Lee Ward age 22 of St. Louis, MI died unexpectedly on Monday, March 23, 2009 as a result of an automobile accident.
Jeremy was born December 31, 1986, the son of Ed and Teresa Ward. He was nicknamed "Bucky" by his grandfather Jim Ewer. He loved to wrestle when he was a child. At age 10 his foot was severely injured in a lawnmower accident at a neighbors. After many surgeries, Jeremy recovered and continued to wrestle, and then he played football at Ithaca High School. He graduated from Ithaca High School in 2006.
Jeremy loved heavy equipment, and for all of his adult life he worked alongside his father Ed in the family business, D&E Excavating.
The center of his life was his son, Landon whom he loved and cherished deeply. A new love in his life was his fiancée Jessica Schoch, whom he was to wed on May 16th of this year.
Besides doing things with his dad and his son, Jeremy loved cars, NASCAR and mud bogging.
Jeremy is survived by his parents, Ed and Teresa Ward, 5 year old son Landon, fiancée Jessica Schoch, sisters; Meagan Ward of St. Louis, MI, and Jamie Ward of Alma, MI, and his special niece Alexis Nicole Wing. He is also survived by his grandparents; John and Kay Criswell of St. Louis, MI, Ervin and Betty Ward of St. Louis, MI, Dawn O'Keefe of Shepherd, MI and his great grandmother Shirley Austin of St. Louis, MI, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, including his best friend Jason Schoch. Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandfather Jim Ewer, great grandparents, John "Jack" Austin, Dale and Evelyn Ward, Charles and Anna Ames, uncle Nathan O'Keefe and infant niece Erin Ewer.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis Chapel St. Louis, MI on Friday, March 27, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery Alma, MI. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2009 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
