Jerome “Jerry” Norman Miller, age 82, of Pewamo , MI , passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021 , at his home

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pewamo , MI , at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, November 12, 2021 , with Rev. Fr. Darrel Kempf presiding.  Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery .  Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021, from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Goerge Chapel, Fowler, Michigan.  Rosary will be prayed 7 P.M. on Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Jerry was born in Ionia , Michigan on January 18, 1939 , the son of Norman and Mary (Nementz) Miller.  He graduated from Pewamo High School with the class of 1957.  On December 1, 1962 he married Marie T. Rademacher in Fowler, Michigan .  Jerry served his country in the U.S. Army.

He owned and operated the Miller Upholstery Shop for many years.  He was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Jerry was a member of the Pewamo Fire Department for 49 years and served on the Pewamo Village Council.  Jerry was always ready to help in the community and he enjoyed farming and camping with his family.

He is survived by his wife Marie Miller of Pewamo, MI; his daughter Susan Marie and Glenn Witgen of Pewamo, MI; 2 sons: Thomas and Stacy Miller of Pewamo, MI; Stephen and Amy Miller of Pewamo, MI.  He is also survived by 9 grandchildren: Jeremy and Alyssa Witgen, Megan & Samuel Cameron, Joshua Witgen, Cole Miller, MacKenzie Miller, Zachary Witgen, Kimberly Miller, Thomas Miller, and Benjamin Miller; and 1 great- granddaughter Blaire Cameron. He was preceded in death by his parents.
