Jerry Santrucek

Jerry Santrucek, age 77, of Bannister, MI went home to be with his Lord on Friday, September 4, 2009.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 11:00 A.M., Burial will take place at North Star Cemetery, North Star, MI. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 7, 2009 from 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel.

Jerry was born in Swartz Creek, Michigan on February 20, 1932, the son of Joseph and Genieve (Whitman) Santrucek. He graduated from Elsie High School with the class of 1950, and resided in the Bannister area all of his life. He served his country in the US Army. Jerry married Helen Christine Woodhams in St. Johns, Michigan on June 7, 1953. Jerry worked for Federal Mogul in St. Johns for 39 years before his retirement in 1997. He enjoyed working in his flower garden and some of his pastimes were hunting & fishing. His grandchildren were very special to him. Jerry was a member of Fenmore Baptist Church Elsie, MI.

He is survived by his wife Helen Santrucek of Bannister, MI, daughter Christine and Brian Eva of Owosso, MI, 2 sons; Gary Santrucek of Jackson, MI, Craig and Becky Santrucek of Bannister, MI, 8 grandchildren, Cassie, Katie, Nick, Emily, Craig Jr. "CJ", Alicia, Erica, and Hayden 1 great grandchild April & one due in October. He was predeceased by his parents.
