Jessie Elizabeth Perry Tullar age 94 of Durand, MI died Saturday, October 16, 2004 at Shiawassee County Medical Care Facility.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel. Rev. Jon Clifton will officiate with burial at Greenwood Cemetery in Vernon, MI. Visitation will be Monday evening from 7-9 P.M.
Jessie was born on June 3, 1910 in Whittenburg, Wisconsin the daughter of Jesse and Kate (Long) Hergret. She resided in Shiawassee County since 1946. Jessie was first married to Glenn Perry in Byam, Ohio. He preceded her in death in 1968. She then married Harry Tullar of Bancroft, MI. Harry also preceded her in death in 1980.
Jessie was a homemaker and also had worked at the King-Seely Company, of Ann Arbor, MI, and at the ASC office in Corunna. She was an avid golfer and bowler, enjoyed traveling, and also loved her vegetable and flower gardens
She is survived by 3 step sons; Jim and Yvonne Tullar of Chesaning, MI, Richard and Pat Tullar of Durand, MI, Jack and Maxine Tullar of Boyne City, MI, 4 step daughters; Phyllis and Don Leland of Durand, MI, Mary Jane and Jerry Wooten of Durand, MI, Betty Lou and Gene Putt of Linden, MI, Shirley and Joe Pentecost of Okemos, MI, 1 brother, Orville and Dorie Hergret of Jonesville, MI, daughter in law, Sally Tullar of Durand, MI, sister in law, Leona Drake of Jackson, MI, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, 6 brothers, 2 sisters, and a stepson Tom Tullar.
Memorial contributions may be made, in lieu of flowers, to the Shriners Burn Hospital Fund, or the Shiawassee County Humane Society. The Family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, 302 West Corunna Ave. Corunna, MI 48817
