Joan Case

Joan Ann Case, age 83, of Owosso, MI passed away on Saturday, March 31st, 2012 at Durand Senior Care & Rehab Center in Durand, MI. Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel on Tuesday, April 3rd at 11:00 A.M with Rev. Ray A. Strawser II officiating. Burial will take place at Pine Tree Cemetery in Corunna, MI. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Joan was born in Shiawassee County, Michigan on November 20, 1928, the daughter of Howard and Geraldine (Gilbert) Ashford. She attended Owosso High School and resided in the Owosso area and Fenton for many years. She retired from Crestmont Nursing Facility in Fenton. Joan also worked as a telephone operator in Owosso. She loved bowling, dancing, playing cards, bingo, and spending time with her family.

Joan is survived by 2 daughters Patricia and Phil Campion of Charlotte, MI; Cindy and Pat Boughner of Owosso, MI; special niece, Brenda (Arnie) Thomas, 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 sisters; and 4 brothers. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 sisters, 3 brothers-in-law, and a nephew.
