Joan Woodruff

Joan S. Woodruff, Sister in Christ, left this world to be with her Savior at the age of 63 Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Bethany Bible Baptist Church, Morrice Michigan on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. Pastor Tom Goupil will officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 13, 2009 from 6-8 PM at Smith Family Funeral Homes Corunna Chapel, Corunna, MI.
Joan was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 27, 1945, the daughter of Anthony and Lillian Bugielski. She was raised in life by Walter and Beulah Blake.
Joan married Gary Woodruff on September 19, 1964 in Flint, MI. She resided most of her life in Owosso and was a member of Bethany Bible Baptist Church Morrice, MI .
Joan worked in the services industry for over 40 years, until medical illness forced her into an early retirement four years ago. She loved to be outdoors especially fishing and gardening also enjoyed traveling. Spending time with family was very important to her.
She will be remembered for her overwhelming desire to give of herself through charity and love. Her kindness and generosity were exemplified by her ability to put others needs ahead of her own.
She is survived by her husband Gary Woodruff; daughter Jackie and Russell Fisher; son Gary and April Woodruff, Jr.; daughter Julie and John Kluytman; son Josh Woodruff; sister Harriett and Dallas Schmitzer. Joan is also survived by 6 grandchildren Donelle, Rebecca, Emilee, John III, Jared and Aidan.
Her family and friends mourn for our loss but celebrate her journey to Heaven. She will be greatly missed.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, brother Anthony Bugielski.
