Joann Marie Beach age 50 of Alma, Michigan died Sunday, May 23, 2010 at her home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Marya�(TM)s Catholic Church in Alma, MI on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 10:00 A.M., Rev. Fr. Kevin Maksym will officiate. Burial will take place at Ferris Center Cemetery in Vestaburg, MI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel. A Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday at 6:00 P.M.
JoAnn was born in Swartz Creek, MI on December 6, 1959, the daughter of Paul W. and Rose M. (Okenka) Gasparovic. She graduated from Owosso High School with the class of 1978. She earned her associates degree in Radiology from Lansing Community College in 1980. She was married to Aaron L. Beach at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Johns on February 14, 1987. She had been a resident of Alma for the past 20 years. She worked as an Ultrasound Technician at Central Michigan Community Hospital in Mt. Pleasant. She was a member of St. Marya�(TM)s Catholic Church in Alma. JoAnn enjoyed crocheting, reading, crossword puzzles, playing cards, and riding motorcycles. She loved spending time with her family, farming, and gardening. She played in the band with her kids, and was part of her family band "The Polka Notes".
She is survived by her husband Aaron Beach of Alma, MI, daughter Paula Beach of Alma, MI, son Allen Beach of Alma, MI, daughter Elizabeth Beach of Alma, MI, 2 sisters; Debbie and Jim Guysky of Holt, MI, Patricia Mau of Owosso, MI, father-in-law Allen Beach of Vestaburg, MI, in laws; Stewart and Marlene Beach of Bridgeman, MI, Theresa and Lanny Graham of Edmore, Mi and Onalee and Mike Barnett of Bunker Hill, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, mother in law, and a brother in law.
