JoAnn Hansen

JoAnn B. Hansen age 84, of Elwell, MI, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Masonic Pathways in Alma, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes. St. Louis, MI, on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 11:30 A.M., with Rev William Malone officiating. Burial will take place at Vinewood Cemetery, Edmore, MI. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.

JoAnn was born in Flint, MI on June 16, 1933, the daughter of Charles and Beulah (VanNocker) Doolittle. On January 27, 1951 JoAnn married Erwin Leroy Hansen at Ferris Center Church of Christ in Vestaburg, MI. Erwin passed away on March 30, 2004.

JoAnn was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, baking and loved to socialize; she never met a stranger.  She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #43, Alma, and a member of Lincoln Road United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son Randy and Tari Hansen of Macomb, MI, daughter Sheri and Rick Bartlett of Lakeview, MI, 6 grandchildren; Joshua and Eva Bartlett of Lakeview, MI, Niels Hansen of Madison, WI, Axel Hansen of Madison, WI, Kiel and Mahsa Hansen of Fair Haven, MI, Dane Hansen of Macomb, MI, Christian Hansen of Lombard, IL, 7 great grandchildren; Taylor Smith, Gavin Hansen, Olivia Bartlett, Merick Bartlett, Sdynee Hansen, Ryker Hansen, and Anders Hansen, 2 sisters;  Marilyn and Bill Malone, and Genevieve Healey.  She was predeceased by her parents, husband, granddaughter Michelle Marie Bartlett, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
