Joanne M. Norris age73 of Ithaca, Michigan died on Saturday, November 03, 2007 at her home. Funeral services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel on Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor John Davey officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-8 P.M with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel and burial will take place in the Ithaca Cemetery.
Joanne was born January 26, 1934 in Elwell, Michigan the daughter of Ernest & Hazel (Miller) Norris and she had attended Ithaca public schools and resided most of her life in Ithaca, Michigan. She retired from Wolverine Worldwide Shoe Factory after 30 years of service. Joanne enjoyed bowling, crocheting and taking of her lawn and flower garden.
Survivors include her 2 brothers, George Norris of Ithaca, Michigan, Raymond Norris of Midland, Michigan, 1 sister, Wilma & Gerald Gingrich of Elsie, Michigan, many nieces & nephews and her faithful companion, Ginger. She was predeceased by her parents, infant sister Betty Ann, 2 sister-in-laws, Shirley Norris & Margie Beard, 1 nephew, Jimmy Gingrich.
Memorials may be made to Gratiot County Council on Aging or Gratiot Area Hospice Program.
