Jody Bloss

Jody J Bloss, age 44, of Alma, Michigan, formerly of Ithaca died Thursday, September 5, 2013 as a result of a motorcycle accident.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, Michigan on Monday, September 9, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev Mary Ann Evans-Justin officiating. Burial will take place at Ithaca Cemetery, Ithaca, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Jody was born in Carson City, Michigan on January 8, 1969, the son of Alvin J Bloss and Laureen Dawn (Sherman) Bobzien. He graduated from Ithaca High with the class of 1987, and served his country in the US Marine Corps. Jody worked at Bandit Industries in Remus, Michigan. He enjoyed playing poker, riding his motorcycle, cooking over an open wood fire, NASCAR Racing and bowling. He resided most of his life in the Ithaca area. He just celebrated 12 years of sobriety.

He is survived by his 3 sons; Justin and Taylor Bloss of Grandville, MI, Jesse Bloss of Laingsburg, MI, Jordan Bloss of Alma, MI, granddaughter Ruby, father Alvin and Linda Bloss of Carson City, MI, mother Laureen and Jeff Bobzien of Baytown, TX, special person in his life Traci Dancer of Alma, and her 2 sons; Curtis and Jarrett, sister Erin and Tom Dimas of Medford, NY, 2 brothers; Joshua and Amber Bloss of Alma, MI, and Travis and Jennifer McCracken of Belding, MI. He was predeceased by his grandparents.
