John Bohil

John Martin Bohil, age 97, of Oakley, Michigan passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, Michigan on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Ray Strawser officiating. Burial will take place at Ford Cemetery, Gratiot County, MI. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 26, 2014 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

John was born in Bannister, Michigan on August 7, 1917, the son of Andrew Henry and Pauline (Fiala) Bohil. On June 27, 1942 John married Marguerite Rundy in Eaton Rapids, Michigan; Marguerite predeceased John on January 14, 2008. John was a farmer and enjoyed welding and collecting old Ford Tractors. He resided most of his life in Oakley, Michigan.

He is survived by his daughter Linda Lou Somers of Oakley, MI, granddaughter Amy Somers and E. G. Simmons of Ovid, MI, 2 grandsons; Brian and Anne Somers of Kalamazoo, MI, and Michael and Daniel Somers of Midland, MI, great grandchildren; Joshua, Zackary, Seth, Tyler, Kaitlin, and Lucas, special nephew Frank and Jane Bohil of Henderson, MI, great nieces; Michelle and Richard Gaertner, Tamera and John Kulhanek, great nephew David Bohil and nephew James Bohil. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, infant son John Martin Jr. and 2 brothers; Andrew, and Alexander Bohil.
