John Carvalho

John Delbert Carvalho, age 60, of Alma, MI, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2020, at Mid-Michigan Medical Center - Midland, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, MI, on Thursday, September 3, 2020, at 11:00 A.M.  Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at the funeral home.

John was born in New Bedford, MA on October 3, 1959, the son of John DeLima and Ina Jean (May) Carvalho. John graduated from Ithaca High School with the class of 1978.

John loved movies, music and all classic Chevy vehicles. He was a very giving and generous person all of his life and he was a friend to all, wanting to know all about anyone he ever met. John was always happy, laughing and joking. But most of all he loved his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter Kelly Becker of Carson City, MI; sister Wendy and Jim Bixler of Perry, MI; nieces: Breanna Bixler and Lindsey Bixler, and many aunts, uncles and cousins in the local area and New Bedford, MA.  He is also survived by many special friends who were like family.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
