John Samuel Fagan Sr., age 88, Owosso, MI passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. Pastor David Woodby will officiate. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 from 11-1 PM prior to the service. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Owosso, MI.
John was born in Brant, Michigan on July 27, 1922, the son of Frederick John and Jennetta Almeada (Blower) Fagan. John married Phyllis B. Martin on February 25, 1943 in Saginaw, MI. She passed away on September 10, 2005. John resided most of his life in Chesaning and Owosso. John retired from Midland Ross in 1984 after 20 years. He then worked part-time at Viron for 8 years. John served in the U.S. Army Air Force. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church of Owosso. John also drove school bus part-time for handicapped children which he enjoyed.
He is survived by his son John and Molly Fagan Jr. of Sterling Heights, MI, son Fred and Sandy Fagan of Chesaning, MI, son Tim and Bonnie Fagan of Reed City, MI, daughter Nancy Fagan of Owosso, MI, daughter Noni and Pat Quinn of Ohio, daughter Barbara Almeada Fuller of Owosso, MI, son Randy and Kathy Fagan of Owosso, MI, daughter Dawn and Marvin Runyan of Corunna, MI, 32 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and half sister Helen Trinklein. John was preceded in death by his parents, wife, granddaughters; Samantha Fagan and Dara Derus, a brother, 7 half brothers and 2 half sisters.
Memorials may be made to The Church of the First Born of Reed City, MI. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso, MI Owosso, Michigan.
