John Frink

John Brian Frink, 54, of Owosso, MI, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at Hospice House of Shiawassee County, Owosso, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Houghton Chapel, 232 E. Oak Street, Ovid, MI on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. with Chuck Emmert, Minister officiating.  A private burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Elsie, MI.  Visitation will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

John was born in Owosso, Michigan on March 10, 1962, the son of Elmore and Virginia (Coe) Frink. He graduated from Owosso High School with the class of 1980.  He went on to graduate from Central Michigan University with a bachelor degree in Engineering. John married Loretta Colon and together they had 3 daughters.

John loved spending time with his family and enjoyed volunteering for his daughter's at school and extra curricular activities. John was a very involved father who always put his family first.

He was currently employed in management at Woodard's in Owosso where his main goal was to make sure everyone succeeded in their position.  During the final years of his life he attended Duplain Church of Christ, St. Johns, MI; where he enjoyed the male support and fellowship of the church.

John is survived by his wife Loretta Frink, his 3 daughters; Lily, Danyelle, and Shelby, siblings; Margaret and Ralph Frisch, Mary Ellen Hart, Jean and John French, Tom and Sandra Frink, Jan Jo and Jerry Fedewa, Ginger and Michael Sweet, brothers and sisters in law; Fernando and Lauri Colon, Marcus Colon, Dan and Heather Inman, Valerie Perkins and mother in law, Joy Serna.  He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmore “Buck” and Virginia Frink, father in law Anselmo Colon, and brothers in law; Jim Hart and Adam Colon.
