John Meta, age 86, of Flint, MI passed away Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Hurley Medical Center, Flint, MI.
Private burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Ovid, MI.
John was born in Ovid, Michigan on May 25, 1925, the son of Joe and Lena (Fabiano) Meta. John resided most of his life in Ovid and Flint. John retired from General Motors. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II.
He is survived by his sister Frances Meta of Corunna, MI, brother Tony Meta of Corunna, MI, 3 step-sons; Clarence and Connie French of Lapeer, MI, Phillip and Peggy French of Spring Arbor, MI, Gary French of Wisconsin. John is also survived by several step-grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his parents, and 3 sisters; Stella, Virginia and Violet.
