John Vozar

John Paul Vozar age 87 of Corunna, Michigan died Monday, May 12, 2008 at Memorial Healthcare Center, Owosso, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel Corunna, MI on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Fr. David Fisher will officiate with burial at Hawkins Cemetery Caledonia Township, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 from 6-8 P.M. and Wednesday, May 14, 2008 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.

John was born in Bannister, Michigan on November 1, 1920 the son of Joseph P. and Anna O. ( Kozumplik ) Vozar. He resided most of his life in Owosso & Corunna area after moving from Flint. He worked for 30 years at A.C. Spark Plug in Flint, MI. John enjoyed dancing and doing yard work. He and Mabel wintered in Punta Gorda, FL. John was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Owosso, MI. and the UAW.

He is survived by dear friend Mabel Ackerson of Corunna, MI, son Michael Paul & Sharan Vozar of Swartz Creek, MI, daughter Annette & Donald Yuille of South Carolina, Joyce & Dick Batchelor of Owosso, MI, Janice & the late Jack Ackerson of Corunna, MI, 25 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, son John Paul Vozar II, and daughter & son-in-law Joanne & Ronald Luft.

Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Owosso, MI. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna, Chapel.
