Jon Prowant

Jon E. Prowant died May 18, 2012, at the age of 56. He was born October 20, 1955 in St. Johns, the son of Edgar and Marie (Georgia) Prowant and his father Edgar prededed him in death. Jon had a true love of the outdoors including, gardening, camping and planting trees. Jon retired from Dana Corporation in 2006 after 23 years .

Jon is survived by his mother, Marie Smith, niece, Jordan (Casey) Messer, brother, Mick Ludwick, stepmother, Beverly Prowant, step sisters , Janie(Brad) Quinn, MaryJo (Werner) Bartels, stepbrother, Gary Hinton and special friends, Doug and Pam Dewey. In addition to his father, Jon was also preceded in death by brothers, Ron and Sam Prowant.

As per Jon's wishes he was cremated and the family will have a graveside service, 1:00 pm, Friday, June 1, 2012 at Mt. Rest Cemetery with Pastor David Hudgens officiating. The family is being served by the Osgood Funeral Home.
