Jonah Justice

Jonah "Buddy" Mathew Justice, loving husband, father & grandfather, age 71, of Bancroft, MI passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Sparrow Health Systems, Lansing, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Sunday, March 29, 2009 at 11:00 A.M, Pastor Paul Olson will officiate. Burial will follow at Pine Tree Cemetery Corunna, MI. Visitation will be held on Saturday March 28, 2009 from 2-8 PM with family present 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home.

Jonah was born in Delbarton, West Virginia on February 26, 1938, the son of Jonah and Mary (Hite) Justice. Jonah married Nellie Stumbo on March 1, 1957 in West Virginia. They moved to Michigan in 1958 and resided in Bancroft most of their life.

He retired from GM Truck and Bus of Flint. Jonah enjoyed restoring old cars & loved being outdoors. He was a wonderful teacher and 'jack of all trades'.

Jonah is survived by his wife Nellie Justice of Bancroft, MI, daughter Debbie and Gale Chappell of Corunna, MI, daughter Barbara and Gregg Smith of Bancroft, MI, son Buddy Darrell and Tori Justice of Durand, MI, daughter Tammy Rhodes of Corunna, MI, son Gary and Janie Justice of Owosso, MI, 14 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 4 sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a brother.
