Joseph M. Courter, age 75, of Elsie, MI Died Sunday, December 27th, 2009 at Memorial Healthcare Center , Owosso, Michigan,

Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Cyril's Catholic Church Bannister, MI on Wednesday, December 30th at 10:00 A.M., Rev. Fr. Wolfgang Streichardt will officiate. There will be no visitation.

Joseph was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 9, 1934, the son Max W. and Dorothy (Ludwa) Courter. He graduated from Elsie High School with the class of 1952 and Ferris State University in 1965 from the school of Pharmacy. He served his country in the US Navy.

On August 10, 1957 Joe married Diane Kristin in St. Cyril's Catholic Church in Bannister, Michigan. He was a pharmacist and former owner of Courter Drug Store in Elsie, Michigan. Joe enjoyed golfing, playing Internet games, he resided most of his life in the Elsie area. He was a member of the American Legion Post 502 of Elsie, DDA of Elsie, K of C, and St. Cyril's Catholic Church Bannister, Michigan he also served as Eucharist minister and served his church on the parish council

Survivors include, his wife Diane Courter of Elsie, MI; daughter Christin and Greg Fowler of Saint Helena, CA;, 2 sons Kevin and Lisa Courter of Macomb, MI.
Brian Courter of Elsie, MI; 4 grandchildren Kelli, Erik, Joshua, Sara, 2 sister Annette Smith of Larwill, Indiana, Patricia and Bill Jorae of St. Johns, MI;
1 brother Matthew and Sandy Courter of Larwill, Indiana.

He was predeceased by his parents, 1 sister, Maxine
