Joseph Francis Freeman Sr., 57, of Lennon, Michigan, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2010 at his home.
The son of Francis Joseph and Sarah Elizabeth (Durgan) Freeman, Joseph was born in Owosso, Michigan on July 30, 1952. Joseph married Rose Marie on June 18, 2004 in Owosso. He resided most of his life in Owosso and Lennon, and was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Owosso, MI. Joseph worked as an Electrician for General Motors until he retired in 1995. Music was an important part of his life; he played many instruments in several bands over the years. One of his bands was chosen to play in Nashville. He also loved camping, hunting and fishing. Joseph held a special place in his heart for his grandchildren and never met a stranger.
He is survived by his wife Rose, daughter Stacie (Alan) Raymond, son Joseph (Julie) Freeman Jr., stepsons; James and Joshua Cummings, grandchildren; Brian Haughton Jr., Trevor Raymond, Jade and Rider Freeman, Tanner Cummings, sisters; Janice Lester, Joyce (Jack) Laverty, Judy (Dale) Hier, Jane (Henry) Hepfner, Joann (Phillip) Sage, brothers; James (Marcia) Freeman, John (Lisa) Freeman, and mother-in-law Cora Hudecek. Joseph is also survived by many nieces, nephews and special friends. Joseph was preceded in death by his first wife of 30 years, Janice Freeman in 2003, parents and grandparents.
