Joseph Glowacki

Joseph Martin "Joe" Glowacki, 83, of St. Johns, MI, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Grace Haven Assisted Living, St. Johns.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, with Rev. Fr. Michael Williams officiating. Burial will take place at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns, MI. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 15, 2018 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Osgood Chapel.

Joseph was born in St. Johns, Michigan on September 18, 1935, the son of Michael and Stephanie (Sage) Glowacki.  On October 20, 1956, Joe married Lois "Sue" (Good) Glowacki at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Johns.  Sue preceded him in death in 2002 after 45 years of marriage. Joe resided in St. Johns all of his life.

Joe worked for General Motors for 32 1/2 years, retiring in 1999.  He had a passion for tractors and enjoyed tractor pulls.  Joe loved to work with his hands and spend time working on his farm.

Joe is survived by his daughter Renee' (Bill) Thelen, of St. Johns,
grandson Nathan (Amy) Thelen of St. Johns, and grandson Adam (Janet) Thelen of Kalamazoo, and 3 great grandchildren:   Troy, Abby, and Lauren.  Joe is preceded in death by his parents, wife Sue, and sister Mary Ann Glowacki
