Joseph Daniel Launstein age 95 of Corunna, Michigan died Sunday, January 29, 2006 at Shiawassee County Medical Care Facility Corunna, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Corunna Church of the Nazarene Corunna, Michigan on Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 1:00 PM. Pastor Mike Prince and Pastor Robert Beebe will officiate with burial at Ridge Road Cemetery Brady Township, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2006 from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. at the church.

Joseph was born in Oakley, Michigan on October 1, 1910 the son of Ezra and Julia A. ( Jacobson ) Launstein. Joseph married Rev. Geraldine Edmonds on November 4, 1978 at the Corunna Free Methodist Church. Joseph served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was employed by Universal Electric. He retired in January of 1976 after 23 years of service. He was a member of the Corunna Church of the Nazarene.

He is survived by his wife Rev. Geraldine Launstein of Corunna, MI, 4 step-daughters; Nancy & P.J. Dennis of Clarkston, MI, Arlene Henderson of Mt. Pleasant, NC, Jean & Robert Switzer of Flint, MI, Diantha Dutcher of Owosso, MI, 4 step-sons; Robert Dutcher of Flushing, MI, David & Pearl Dutcher of Fort Republic, MD, Gerald & Kelly Dutcher of Alto, MI, Charles Smith of Ohio, 22 step-grandchildren, 15 step- great grandchildren, good friends Rebecca, Duane, and Brian Crites and many nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, 2 brothers Claude & George Launstein and sister Margaret Bendes.
