Joseph Nako

Joseph Marion Nako, age 94, of St. Louis, MI died Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Schnepp Health Care Center, St. Louis.

There will be no services held.

Joseph was born in Hamtramck, Michigan on April 27, 1917, the son of Nicholas and Rose (Dedi) Nakonieczyn. He married Pauline (Ozalis) Nako at Blessed Sacrament in Detroit, MI on April 30, 1947. She passed away December 2, 2001. He served in the U.S. Army. Joe was a lifelong resident of St. Louis. He and Pauline owned and operated The Dandy Drive In Restaurant in St. Louis for many years. He loved his rose gardens. Joe was a member of Mt. St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Louis, MI.

He is survived by his niece Rosemarie and Ron Wybo of Warren, MI, nephew Walter Nako of Kalamazoo, MI, nephew Michael and Jeanette Nako of Macomb Twp., MI, and nephew David and Suzan Nako of Sterling Heights, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister.

The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis Chapel St. Louis, Michigan.
