Joseph Teall

Joseph C. "Joe" Teall age 93, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Monday, December 12, 2016, at Masonic Pathways, Alma.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI, on Thursday, December 15, 2016, at 11:00 A.M., with Mr. Keith Wise officiating.  Burial will take place at Ridgelawn Cemetery,  Breckenridge, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 from 2-8 P.M. with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI.

Joseph was born in Gratiot County, MI on March 10, 1923, the son of Joseph E. and Carrie (Clark) Teall.  He served his country in the United States Navy during WWII aboard the USS Catoctin. Joe married Ida Moreland on February 8, 1946 in Breckenridge, MI.

Joe worked as a City Mail Carrier in St. Louis for 26 years. He enjoyed working in his yard, spending time at his property in Harrison and riding his motorcycle on the trails with his friend Bud. Joe was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Joe was a member of the St. Louis Church of Christ, St. Louis, MI.

He is survived by wife Ida Teall of St. Louis, MI, children; Maggie and Ron Pratt of Merrill, MI, Ernie and Kristi Teall of St. Louis, MI, grandchildren; Carrie and Josh Salladay of St. Louis, MI, Jill and Sammy Davenport of Merrill, MI, Travis Teall of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Michael Hasler of St. Louis, MI, Tiffany Teall of St. Louis, MI, Matthew Hasler of St. Louis, MI and 5 great grandchildren; Macie, Hunter, Blair, Dylan and Aubrey.  He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Zachary Teall, sister Dorothy Keel and brother Elmer Teall.
