Joseph Zwierzynski

Joseph John Zwierzynski, age 84 of Alma, MI passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at his home.

Visitation will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI on Friday March 20, 2015 from 2-4 P.M., with a funeral service to be held at 4:00 P.M.

Joseph was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 21, 1930, the son of John and Pauline (Cesarz) Zwierzynski. He graduated from Linden High School with the class of 1949. Joe married Virginia Eldridge on September 5, 1965 in Ithaca, MI. He enjoyed farming, fishing, and hunting. He retired from Genesee Road Commission in 1986.

Joe is survived by his wife Virginia Zwierzynski of Alma, MI, 11 children; Joseph and Linda Zwierzynski of Virginia, Cynthia and Henry Kelly of Michigan, Mary Zwierzynski of Michigan, Eric and Sheila Zwierzynski of Michigan, Mark and Shirley Zwierzynski of Michigan, Rick Eldridge of Arizona, Barbara and Dwayne Walker of Michigan, Robin and David Batora of Michigan, Charlie Eldridge of Michigan, Tammy and Henry Cermak of Michigan, Pauline and Mark Smith of Michigan, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, 4 sisters and 2 brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother.
