Josie Kissling

Josie Rae Kissling, the third child of Jacob and Julia Kissling of Maple Rapids, and sister to Violet and Samuel Kissling, passed from this earth July 12, 2021, before her birth.  She finally arrived here July 24th, 2021, with dark hair like her father; eyes and button nose like her sister; and hands and feet like her brother.  It is difficult to express the weight of grief Josie’s unexpected passing has caused us; her parents, family, and church family.  She was deeply loved long before we met her.  It is equally difficult to express our gratitude for the depth of fellowship and comfort we have received from Jesus Christ through His Word and His people.  We are so thankful.  We love Josie, we miss her, and we anticipate by faith and with exultant joy, meeting her for the first time in Christ’s presence.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 31st, 2021 11:00 a.m., at Sowle Cemetery on Island Road Southeast of Maple Rapids.  Josie’s Papa, Pastor Jerry Kissling, will direct this celebration of hope and eternal life in Christ Jesus.  The graveside service will be live-streamed through Smith Family Funeral Homes Facebook page.
