Joy Kelley

Joy Ann “JD” Kelley, age 66, of Elsie, MI, passed away Friday, November 8, 2019, at Sparrow Health Systems, Lansing, MI.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Joy's life will take place at a later date.

Joy was born in St. Johns, Michigan on February 27, 1953, the daughter of Hazel Marietta (Dush) Larsen.  She graduated from St. Johns High School with the class of 1971.  Joy married Rodger Kelley on October 16, 1992, in Ithaca, MI.

She enjoyed camping, fishing, reading, arts and crafts and was a wonderful cook. She loved the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and dog Miiko.

She is survived by husband Rodger Kelley of Elsie, MI; daughters: Patti A. Dershem of St. Johns, MI; Angela M. and Victor Ward of Elsie, MI; son Douglas M. "Buck" and Stacy Dershem of Ovid, MI; siblings: Jim and Kathleen Larsen of St. Johns, MI; Judy and Bob Moon of Ithaca, MI; Janet Dershem of Ithaca, MI; Jack and Janine Larsen of St. Johns, MI; brothers and sisters-in-law: Alan Kelley of Owosso, MI; Dale and Penny Kelley of Elsie, MI; Connie and Wayne Underhill of Ovid, MI. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren: MacKenzie, Skylar, Devon, Hunter, Logan, Hilary, Haley, John, Dale, Mellissa, and Wyatt; 3 great-grandchildren: Blakely, Blake, and Brailen, and by many nieces, nephews, and special friends.   She was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws Don and Dorothea Kelley, sisters-in-law: Cindy Craig, Mary Jane Larsen, and Mary Kelley, nephews: Jim Larsen and Kenny Larsen.
