Joyce Sarrazin

Joyce R. Sarrazin, age 79, of Corunna, MI died Wednesday, April 14th, 2010 at Shiawassee County Medical Care Facility. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Owosso, MI on Saturday, April 17th at 10:30A.M. Burial will take place at Pine Tree Cemetery in Corunna, MI. Rev. Fr. David Fisher will officiate and visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel. Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM Friday at Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Joyce was born on April 30, 1930 the daughter of John H. and Josephine (Remaley) Sarrazin. She graduated from Corunna High School, and retired from Pleasant View Nursing Home as a Registered Nurse after several years of service. She was a very active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Owosso. She was an avid reader, and loved volunteering for her church and caring for others.

She is survived by her sister Jessie Schiff of Cape Coral, FL; brother John Sarrazin and Special Friend Belinda Marton of Corunna, MI; nieces & nephews Cheri, Billie, Gale, Bonnie, Mike, and Jeff. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister in law Nellie, and a nephew John Sarrazin, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or Shiawassee County Medical Care Facility. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes Corunna Chapel Corunna, Michigan.
