Joyce Stambersky

Joyce Marie Stambersky, 85, of Ithaca, MI, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 3, 2020, at her home surrounded by family.

In following Joyce's wishes, cremation has taken place and burial was held at Ithaca Cemetery.

Joyce was born in Hill Township, Ogemaw County, MI on July 19, 1935, the daughter of William C. and Vera Belle (Conway) May. She graduated from Ithaca High School with the class of 1953.

On February 2, 1957, Joyce married Donald Paul Stambersky. He preceded her in death in 2001.  Joyce was a lady of great faith and loved her family very much.  She cherished her grandchildren and the joy they brought to her life. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.  Through the years, she and Gale enjoyed camping and a special trip to Oregon.

Joyce is survived by her companion Gale Bush, 3 children: Pamela Stambersky of Ithaca, Timothy (Tami) Stambersky of Shepherd, and Donald Stambersky of Mt. Pleasant. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Jerrid Paul, Tyler Dean, Ashten Marie, Brianna, and Karie Ann; and 3 siblings: Edward (Lorraine) Cooley, Diane Tester, and William May.  Joyce was preceded in death by her father William May, mother Vera and step-father Benjamin Cooley, husband Donald, sister Jean Carvalho, and brother Donald May.
