Juanita Carroll

Juanita May Carroll age 91, loving mother, grandma and great-grandma, of Elsie, MI passed away Monday, October 3, 2016, at Hazel I. Findlay Country Manor, St. Johns, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at the Elsie United Methodist Church, Elsie, MI, on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Rob Nystrom officiating.  Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Elsie, MI. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI.

Juanita was born in Duplain Township, MI on May 14, 1925, the daughter of Hugh and Edna (Lyon) McCullough.  She graduated with the class of 1943 from Elsie High School. Juanita married Gerald Clayton Carroll on January 31, 1943 in Elsie, MI. Jerry passed away on April 4, 2011.

Juanita was the Duplain Township Treasurer for many years. She lived in the Elsie area all of her life. Juanita was happiest when she was surrounded by her family, and in her kitchen canning and baking cookies. She was member of the Elsie United Methodist Church.

Juanita is survived by her children; Cathy and Larry Webster, of Elsie, MI, Sandy and Russ Ginther, of Elsie, MI, Jimmie and Karen Carroll, of Laingsburg, MI, 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Gordon McCullough, sister Ruby Dunham, grandson Wayne Webster and niece Becky Chatham.
