Juanita Fischer

Juanita M. Fischer, age 79, of Williamston, formerly of Elsie, Michigan died Monday, January 20th, 2014 at her home.

Funeral Services will be held at Webberville United Methodist Church, 4215 Holt Road, Webberville, Michigan 48892 on Friday, January 24th at 11:00 A.M. , Rev. Dwayne Bagley and Rev. Rick Foster will officiate.
Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Elsie, MI. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, Michigan and at Webberville United Methodist Church from 9:30 AM until time of service.

Juanita was born in Lexington, Kentucky on August 4, 1934, the daughter of Jennings G. and Catherine (Kirchgasnar) Rodgers. She graduated from Lafayette High School with the class of 1952. On September 18, 1954 she married Frederick H. Fischer in Lexington, Kentucky. Being a pastor's wife she lived in various places in West Michigan. When Fred retired in 1996 from the Elsie United Methodist Church, they moved to Williamston. She worked for the State of Michigan as a secretary for the Court of Appeals for 24 years. Juanita was an avid reader and enjoyed playing piano and singing. She was a member of Webberville United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Fred Fischer of Williamston, MI; daughter, Beverly and Donald Finch of Haslett, MI; daughter in law, Angela Fischer of Owosso, MI; 4 grandchildren, Kerry and Kimberly Fischer; KayLee Fischer, Garrett Finch, Elizabeth Finch, 2 great grandchildren, Keagan, Karmyn Fischer, and many nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her son, Douglas, 1 sister and a brother.
