Judith ( Brown ) Kurnik age 65 of Chesaning, Michigan died Monday, July 16, 2007 at Memorial Healthcare Center, Owosso, MI.
She was thankful for the life God allowed her to live. To be a wife, mother, and grandmother. A special blessing has been to be a writer and share the lives of dozens of people, for nearly 8 years at the Owosso Argus Press and Michigan Magazine.
Funeral Services will be held at Brady Center Wesleyan Church Oakley, Michigan on Thursday, July 19, 2007 at 3:00 PM. Burial will be held at Brady Township Cemetery Brady Township, MI. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2007 from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at 3:00 P.M.
Judith was born in Flint, Michigan on January 17, 1942 the daughter of Milford L. and Mary Catherine ( Train ) Brown. She graduated from Flint Central with the class of 1960. She attended Flint Junoir College and received a bachelors degree of religion in 1966 from Midwestern Baptist College. Judith married Joseph W. Kurnik in Buffalo, New York on October 3, 1970. He died on September 26, 1995. She enjoyed sewing for several people and being a seamstress. Judith was Queen of the Red Hat Society of the Chesaning Chapter.
She is survived by her children; Joe Kurnik & Aimee Sterk of Grand Rapids, MI, James & Nancy Kurnik of Grand Blanc, MI, Joshua & Kristine Kurnik of Chesaning, MI, Johanna Kurnik of Chesaning, MI, grandchildren; Emily Kurnik, Joshua Kurnik, Jonathan Kurnik, Katherine Davis, Elizabeth Davis, Tyler Kurnik, and soon to be Desmond Kurnik, 1 sister Susan Couturier, 1 brother William Brown, as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of special friends. She is predeceased by her parents, and her husband.
