Judy Ann Passmore

     Judy Ann Passmore, age 84, of Manton, MI, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 9, 2024, surrounded by her loud and crazy family at Munson Healthcare - Cadillac Hospital, Cadillac, MI.
      A Funeral Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI, at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 12, 2024, with Pastor Doug Strait officiating. Burial will take place at Ford Cemetery, Elba Township, MI. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
     Judy was born in Ovid, MI on July 15, 1940, the daughter of Lew and Mable (Spiegel) McCarrick. Judy married Harold D. Passmore in 1956. Sadly after only 33 years of marriage, Harold passed away suddenly on March 15, 1989. In the years following Judy devoted her life to taking care of many children, including her own grandchildren in her home. She enjoyed reading, gardening, puzzles, card games, board games and was an avid porcelain doll collector. Judy liked trips through town on her scooter and was lovingly referred to as "Big Booty Judy". Most of all she loved spending time with her family and her dogs, Sweetheart & Muffin. Judy was known for her kind generous heart and was always opening her arms and home to family in need. Judy will be remembered for her humor, wittiness and her ability to make anything fun.
     She is survived by her children: Robert and Susan Passmore of Colorado, James Passmore of Michigan, Lori and John Kangas of Michigan, Mark and Dorissa Passmore of North Carolina, 28 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, children: Barbara Tessman, David Passmore, Vicki Smith, grandson David Passmore Jr., brothers: Donald McCarrick, Willis McCarrick, Ed McCarrick, Leeda Lavery, Louise "Dolly" Angell and Ruth Cummings.
