Julia Laurraine "Julie" Paksi

     Julia Laurraine "Julie" Paksi, age 52, of Lansing, MI, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023, at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, MI.

     Funeral Services will be held at the Bannister United Methodist Church, Bannister, MI at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 8, 2023m with Pastor Zella Daniel officiating. Burial will take place at Ford Cemetery, Elsie, MI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI and Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church.

     Julia was born in Carson City, Michigan, on August 28, 1970, the daughter of Max G. and Donna J. (Coon) Kremer.  She was a graduate of Ashley High School with the class of 1988.  Julie and Matt were married on September 20, 2015 in Bannister, MI. 

     Julie enjoyed playing solitaire on her phone.  She loved to watch the freighters on the Great Lakes; she was a bonifide boat nerd. Julie had a love of animals, her favorite being giraffes. In her younger years, she enjoyed camping with family, sitting around the campfire and fishing.  Going out to eat and shopping were her favorite things to do.  Julie was a good cook, loved to read, go for rides looking for deer, and exploring the countryside. She loved to spend time with her nieces and nephew. 

     She is survived by her husband Matt Paksi of Lansing, MI; parents Max and Donna Kremer of Bannister, MI; in-laws Steve and Diane Paksi of Alma, MI; nephew Nicholas Kremer; nieces: Ava Kremer and Claudia Kremer; step-son Hunter Paksi.  Julie was preceded in death by her brother Eric Kremer, grandparents: Arthur and Shirley Coon, andMarcus and Maxine Kremer, and also her aunt Dee (Don) Rogers.
