Julia Marie Peacock age 80 of St. Louis, Michigan on Monday, March 20, 2006 at her home.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel on Friday, March 24, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Jim Burgess will officiate with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery St. Louis, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2006 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
Julia was born in Ludington, Michigan on September 5, 1925 the daughter of Rasmen and Victoria Christine ( Petersen ) Jensen. She graduated from Ludington High School, and has resided in St. Louis since 1946. Julia married Milford G. Peacock on March 22, 1947 in St. Louis, Michigan. He passed away on December 1, 2001. She was the first woman school bus driver for St. Louis Public Schools, and also worked at Michigan Chemical Plant. Julia was a homemaker as well and a wonderful mother. She enjoyed her coffee drinking club, and shopping. She loved to dance, and was a great animal lover. She really loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her 3 children; Joanne & Robert Vink of Spring Lake, MI, Milford & Joan Peacock of St. Louis, MI, Jeanne Peacock of St. Louis, MI, 2 grandchildren; Kristin & Matt Campau of Holland, MI, Lynn Vink of Spring Lake, MI, 1 great grandson Knox Logan Campau, brother Roger Jensen of New York. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, and 3 brothers.
Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or Diabetes Association. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
