Julian Losey Jr

Julian "Jay" Darrow Losey Jr., age 62, of Ovid, MI passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Sparrow Health Systems, Lansing, MI.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at the American Legion 1240 W. Grand River Road, Laingsburg, MI on Sunday, November 8, 2015 from 2:00-7:00 PM. Burial will take place at Fairfield Township Cemetery Fairfield Township, MI.

Julian was born in Owosso, Michigan on March 28, 1953, the son of Julian Darrow and Betty Jane (Keefer) Losey. Jay served his country in the U.S. Army. Jay married Linda on December 13, 1972; she passed away on March 15, 1998. Jay enjoyed watching NASCAR races and listening to country music. He loved his dog, Cheech. He was a talented mechanic. Jay resided most of his life in Ovid.

He is survived his daughter Julie Dukes-Brown of Ovid, MI, son Steven Dukes of Ovid, MI, daughter Jody and Jason Gustafson of Laingsburg, MI, daughter Cindy Losey of Ithaca, MI, son Julian Losey III of Flint, MI, son Jay and Sarah Losey of Flint, MI, 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and 2 sisters; Dawn Dukes of Elsie, MI, and Christy Stephens of Ionia, MI. Jay was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son-in-law and multiple brothers-in-law.
