Karen Prior

Karen Sue Prior, age 55, of St. Johns, MI passed away at her home on Thursday, June 20, 2013 after a long illness. She went to be with her Lord in heaven.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 28, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Lowe United Methodist Church, 5485 W. Lowe Road, St. Johns, MI, with Scott McCausey officiating.

Karen was born in Lansing, MI on November 12, 1957, the daughter of Martin and Alice (Platte) McCausey. Karen married Roger L. Prior on April 22, 1977. She formerly worked for Andy's IGA and for Spartan Printing for 28 years. Karen loved writing, reading, hats and sitting by the fire. She enjoyed watching the sun rise and set and the sound of the wind. She loved spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Johns, MI.

Karen is survived by her husband of 36 years Roger Prior, daughter Angela and Dennis Feldpausch, 2 sons; Cody Prior and Jesse Prior, and 2 grandchildren; Hunter and Bailey Feldpausch, all of St. Johns, MI, brother Jim and Linda McCausey of St. Johns, MI, sister Julie and Jeff Silm of St. Johns, MI, sister Nancy and Lee Saxton of Perrinton, MI, sister Sue and Gene Dunsmore of St. Johns, MI, brother Tom and Jill McCausey of Fort Wayne, IN, sister Colleen and Dean Sharick of St. Johns, MI and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Karen was preceded in death by her parents.
