Karin E. Powers age 55 of St. Johns, Michigan died Thursday, July 22, 2004 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 29, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel. Rev. Merlin Pratt will officiate with burial at Eureka Cemetery in Eureka, Michigan. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 28, 2004 from 2-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Karin was born on December 3, 1948 in Frankfort, Germany the daughter of Ernest & Adelinde ( Rehmann ) Romhild. She married Gary Powers in Frankfort, Germany on February 18, 1969. They also had a conformation of Marriage Vows at St. Johns United Methodist Church, St. Johns, Michigan on April 26, 1969. She worked for McKenzie Insurance Agency for 22 years. She enjoyed her grandchildren very much. She lived in St. Johns, Michigan for the past 35 years moving to Louisiana about a month ago.
She is survived by her husband Gary Powers of Louisiana, daughter Stephanie & Brian Schafer of Owosso, MI., 2 grandchildren Ashley & Brian, 2 sisters Brigette Romhild a�" Malaga, Spain & Carmen & James Fikes of Fowler, MI. She is predeceased by her parents and 1 son Troy.
Memorials may be made to Elliea�(TM)s Place in Lansing. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel.
